On behalf of the International Society for the Study of Drug Policy (ISSDP), we would like to announce that our 14th Annual Conference, hosted by the Drug Policy Program of the Center for Research and Teaching in Economics (CIDE), will be held in Aguascalientes, Mexico, from May 20th through May 22nd, 2020. This annual event is of interest to academics in the field of drug policy, as well as policymakers and decision-makers interested in drugs and drug policy.
The ISSDP is working in partnership with the IJDP, the official journal partner of the 14th annual conference. The 14th ISSDP Scientific Committee looks forward to receiving proposals in response to its call and will be more than happy to respond to inquiries from interested parties.
The ISSDP Scientific Committee invites all researchers and/or practitioners contributing to the study, assessment or evolution of drug policy, whether it be locally, nationally or internationally, to submit abstracts and/or panel proposals for the event. We welcome papers on all aspects of drug policy analysis and from a wide array of disciplines. This year, we hope to encourage submissions on the following topics:
Timely submission of abstracts/papers is critical to the success of the conference.
During these days we will have three keynote speakers, different panels, poster presentations and workshops.
*Remember you may attend the ISSDP 2020 even if you are not presenting a paper.
By January 17th, 2020 at midnight (CST) authors should submit a 200- to 400-word proposal for their paper. The word count does not include the title or the topic(s) to be addressed.
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee.
All authors are encouraged to submit the complete full written paper with a 200-word abstract.
Early bird registration will start on February 21st, 2020 and will close on March 21st, 2020 at midnight (CST). Regular registration will be open until May 8th, 2020 at midnight (CST).
Presentation slots are around 15 minutes long. A written version of the paper will be provided to participants only via the 14th ISSDP Conference website before the conference.
